The drives are extremely well organized and planned out from the lodging and food, to the actual driving that includes radio work and roads that are not as publicly known. Definitely plan on attending more in the future. If you’re tired of rallies with stale people that spend more time on freeways and in parking lots than driving in the canyons, this is the one for you.

The days were full without feeling rushed, featured excellent routes with spectacular stops, and the pace was exhilarating. Wide Open Rallies produces drivers events, (see what attendees say above). We operate in smaller groups (no 100 car rallies) of drivers and automotive enthusiasts. Quality dining and lodging, and of course world-class routing is the theme! If this is what you’re looking for, you’ve found it!

Wide Open Rallies started simply as a passion project. A collective of driving enthusiasts, who fast became friends, would get together most weekends and go drive these fantastic routes together. People would bring friends and it continued to grow. Vetting drivers and cars became necessary, as well as drivers meetings, rules, protocol, radios etc… all for good reason.

The name Wide Open really has two meanings; the obvious, and the larger, global meaning, of scenic areas where these events take place. In short, these are drivers rallies. Routes have been established and recorded over years to link together the absolute best backroads most enthusiasts don’t know exist, making up the “sectors” of a given rally. These can be spirited, demanding roads, followed by “transition” roads tying the “sectors” together. There never is any pressure to drive at any speed or follow distance, and all rallies (except track days) are held on open public roads, so any and all laws apply.

Every Wide Open Rally is routed to encompass the beauty of the tour, as well as the ability to experience the true purpose of these cars. We always have planned stops along the way for regrouping, vistas, and breaks.

After a day behind the wheel, we arrive at the hotel reception where each guest has been checked in. Cocktails followed by dinner and debriefing. Some rallies will have special additions such as guest speakers, exclusive car presentations etc…

All Wide Open Rallies are focused on an overall quality experience. Be prepared to be exhausted at the end of each day!

What’s included in the tours:

  • Lodging is taken care of ahead of arrival, and where available are four/five-star accommodations. Check-in and check-out is taken care by our support staff.

  • Daily briefings and debriefings. On some rallies, special guest speakers / drivers will present.

  • Customized exciting routing is all mapped and app’d out and will be revealed each morning prior to departure.
